Pelin and Pia met during their foundation year at Central St Martins in London. Later on, Pia studied Graphic Design at Central St Martins and did her MA on Graphic Moving Image at London College of Communication; while Pelin studied Fashion Design at London College of Fashion and started working in a design studio in London.
